JACOBA WILHELMINA SCHETTLER (nee SCHERPENISSE) Jackie peacefully passed away at Arborg Personal Care Home, on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the age of 85. Jackie was born in Eirksdale March 24, 1932 to Cornelia and Benjamin Scherpenisse. She is lovingly remembered by her sons David (Brenda), Curtis (Marilyn); her grandchildren Trina, Kyle (Nancy), Bryson, and her great-grandchildren Joshua, Nicholas, Emily, and Logan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was the youngest of four children, predeceased by her parents and her husband Jack, and her three brothers Peter, Cornelis, and William. Jackie met Jack in 1952 and married December 17, 1954. They farmed in the Homer area and raised two boys David and Curtis. Mom loved raising animals, the outdoors and the renewed joy of gardening each year. Mom's greatest joy was helping family members learning the art of gardening. Mom was well known for sharing her bountiful harvest with her family and friends. Mom also cherished the time spent with her grandchildren in the garden. Thank you so much to the Arborg Personal Care Home staff, that cared for our Mother this past year. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, April 13 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Arborg. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Whitnesses, 279 St. Phillips Dr., Arborg.
