  • It has been very sad to learn of Welland's passing. Our time traversing the ups and downs at the CBC has given me a wealth of friends and memories. One of my fondest memories is of our funny little baseball team, we didn't always win but we sure played the game! Rest in Peace Welland. - Posted by: Mark Gebel (friend/coworker) on: Apr 18, 2017

  • My wife Sharon and I were so sad to to hear this. Our hearts go out to his family. I knew Welland when he worked at CBC and later worked with him and for him on various construction jobs in the city.He was a clever and competent carpenter and his humor and quick smile made him a great person to work with.I had not seen Welland in a few years and now wish I had. He will be missed. - Posted by: Brian Barstead (friend ) on: Apr 17, 2017

  • It is with great sorry and sadness to have Welland leave us. I started reflecting on how Welland affected my life. From the first time I met Welland he has been helping me. I learned so much. We all are ripples in life effecting each other and others we don’t even know. Welland was the stone cast into my life that started ripples. Welland helped me through difficult times; he gave me friendship, showed me a new path, a new career, and introduced me to so many people that I now call and consider friends. The people he referred to so many times as, “The Real People”. There is so much to thank Welland for. We worked together, we created together, we played together, we had fun and enjoyed life. Welland will continue to be a ripple in my life and others. I owe Welland so much, I did not give enough back. I will miss him. Thank You Welland, for making a difference! Bye Friend! • So sad to hear of Welland's death. For the past six months, i was hoping to reconnect with him to thank him for his concern when he ran into me years ago. I had stitches in my face and we discussed what had happened. He was always a wonderful person with a sense of humour and great talent. My condolences to his family and loved ones. - Posted by: Jocelyn Greenwood (Schoolmate) on: Apr 15, 2017
