Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE JEANNE (BOURBONNIERE) CARRICK (née LESTRAT) Peacefully after a short illness, Marie passed into the sleep of death on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 101 years. Marie is survived by her brother Joseph; her three sisters Alice, Irene, and Estelle; her four children Sylvia, Albert (Darlene), Lucie, and Janet; her seven grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Stan, her parents, two brothers, four sisters, and her husband Bill. Marie was born in St. Front, Saskatchewan on September 9, 1915, and lived most of her adult life around St. Rose du Lac, Manitoba. She had resided in St. Boniface since May of 2000. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 930 Pandora Avenue. My sincere Condolences to The Carrick Family, Friends and Loved ones Marie was a very kind, gentle, and a beautiful person. I got the pleasure of meeting Maire. She was always happy when she would see me, and it would make me happy. We would talk Marie was always nice to be around. Marie even gave me a bottle of spices and she told me to eat it and it might or could help me quit smoking, and ever time after she would ask. I would tell her no not yet, but I trying.
