LUIGI (GINO) DANDRI It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Luigi "Gino" Dandri at the age of 91 on Friday, April 14, 2017. Gino lived a long and prosperous life filled with gardening, singing, dancing, wine-making, and cooking. He loved spending time with his wife Bruna; two daughters Maria Assunta (Howard), and Anne Maria (Bill); as well as his six grandchildren Sabina, Dustin (Natalie), Jennefer (Leif), Stephanie (Ray), Jaana (Carlos), and Stevie-Ray (Elowen). He loved children, and was blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Reid, Chase, Scarlett, Daisy, Apollo, Lana, Lucy, and Luc. He had many friends that were like family, and he was loved and will be remembered by all of them. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish Church, 510 River Avenue with Fr. Sam Argenziano as the Celebrant. Condolences and viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. The family wishes to express many thanks and much gratitude to the staff at Misericordia Place for their constant care of Gino over the past few years. Maria, What a wonderful gift having your father for so long in your life ! Having said that , it is still so difficult to say goodbye. He raised a beautiful family and his legacy lives on in his children and grand children. As a man of faith we are assured through Christ's death and resurrection that your father will have eternal life. My sympathy to you and your family.I am glad you will be seeing the "Convent girls" soon as they too are your family!
