PATRICK JAMES HIEBERT 1960 - 2017 Following a lengthy illness, Pat passed away on April 16, 2017 at the age of 56. Pat had numerous interests throughout his life, reading, carpentry, firearms and mechanics, to name a few. His latest project was hanging out in the shop with various members of the Hopkins family and Larry, restoring his dad's MGB. Sadly he didn't have time to finish it. He loved spending time out at "the farm" in Elm Creek with his dogs, Reno and Bandit. Pat was Membership Chair at Fort Garry Legion #90 where he will be sadly missed. He worked seasonally for Shelmerdine Landscaping during the summer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cathy; daughter Kristie (Devon) and her mother Hazel; sister Corie Arbuckle (Neil) and their three children Dane, Jameson and Braden; and also his mom Orma Hiebert. Pat also leaves to mourn, many cousins and their families. Pat was predeceased by his dad Ron Hiebert in 2013. In accordance with Pat's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his Life will take place on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fort Garry Legion #90, 1125 Pembina Hwy. There will be a private family interment at a later date. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Riverview Palliative Care Ward for the excellent care and assistance they provided to Pat.
