CHARLOTTE DANCHURA
Date of Passing: Apr 28, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLOTTE DANCHURA (nee BRUGGER) 1928 - 2017 On April 28, 2017, Charlotte passed away peacefully at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. Predeceased by her husband Osyp "Joe", she is survived by her son Werner and his wife Judith. Charlotte was born in Munich, Germany on February 25, 1928. There she lived through the hardships of the Second World War and met her husband Joe. She moved to Canada in 1951 to join Joe in building their home on Murray Avenue and to make a good life in a new country. Once Werner was in high school, Charlotte started working at Eaton's and eventually moved on to work as the payroll clerk at Midwest Garment until her retirement. She took great pride in her work and even enjoyed doing her taxes until she was 87. Her home, family, and pets were her passions, and she lived in her house, with the help of home care, until her frailty necessitated a move to the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg in February 2016. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. A private family interment will take place prior to the memorial service. Werner and Judy thank the workers and nurses of the second floor for their patience and kindness when dealing with Charlotte. Her dementia and anxiety made Lottie a difficult and demanding person. We want you all to know how much we admired your ability to meet her needs with humour and compassion. The friendly little mom, pictured above, would join us in our thanks and say how wonderful you are. Glen Eden Funeral Home (204) 338-7111

My deepest sympathy to Charlotte's family. I worked with Charlotte for 12 years at Midwest Garment and had the utmost respect for her. She was a wonderful person and such a hard worker. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Louise Bloomfield () on: May 04, 2017
