JOYCE POWELL Peacefully, on April 25, 2017, our mom, Joyce Powell, passed away. Predeceased by her husband, Bob, she leaves to mourn her children: son Alan (Carrie), daughters Joan (Bob), and Diane; grandchildren Marissa (Wai), Erin, Jaime (Micheal), Ryan, and Shauna (Brent); great-grandchildren Alexa, McKinley and River; sisters Addie, Beth (Don), Del, and brother Tom (Florence); along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also left to mourn ,Ray Howes, her bridge club, hen club and PEO sisters. We love you Mom and will miss you. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Mom's Life will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CNIB or a charity of your choice. Joyce was such an important person in both my parents' lives, but especially of my Mom Marian Catchpole. The entire Powell family embraced both my parents and welcomed them into your family. Joyce's love and caring for my Mom enriched her long life. She was one of Mom's angels. I am so sorry for your loss. Joyce will be sadly missed by all of you and by her many friends. I will always remember Joyce's kindness to me when growing up with Del. She was like my second mother. Always welcoming me into their home. So saddened to learn of her sudden passing.
