Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAUL VICTOR GOLAS March 6, 1932 - May 1, 2017 On May 1, 2017, Paul Golas, aged 85 years of Arborg, went home to be with Jesus. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Pauline Golas; children Bernard (Donna Rae), Donna (Glen), Joanne (Lance) and David (Patty); grandchildren Brett, Kassandra, Berea, Brenton, Angelo, Kye, Anthony, and Ethan; numerous nieces and nephews. DAD, D is for the many days you would wake up early to get us off to school; pull our noses, feed us breakfast and send us out the door and then drive to catch up to the school bus if we forgot our lunches. A is for the affection you showed us in your own caring way; sometimes wrestling with us, playful punches to the arm, a kick in the pants, a smile or just plain silence which is golden. D is for the discipline you attempted to instill in us; getting after us to do dishes, helping with laundry, working in the garden or field, doing the barn chores or cutting the grass. And yes we attempted to ride the pigs and cows sometimes ending up in the pig pen mud! Little did you know what we were up to. Dad and Mom lived on the farm until 2014 when they then moved to the Lodge in Arborg. Dad was full of life, friendly and always had a sense of humour until his passing. Many thanks to the Arborg Personal Care Home staff for the great care given to our Dad. A private family service was held. We will miss you, Dad! See you in Heaven! We were sad to hear of Paul's passing. Occasionally stopping by to visit was always enjoyable. You were always greeted with a smile and friendly joking around...of which Paul was very good at! Good thoughts and fond memories come to mind when thinking of him. Paul was a good man, he will be missed. - Posted by: Darcy & Susan (Friends/Neighbors) on: May 16, 2017
