Betty was born February 24, 1937 in London, Ontario. Betty enjoyed hairdressing and sewing in her younger years. She also loved her family and countless pets over the years no matter where life moved her to. Betty was proud to belong to the 'Red Hat Society' and joining her husband Larry at Metis functions to pass the time. In her later years, Betty enjoyed chatting on the phone to friends and relatives on a regular basis. She especially was fond of the daily breakfast and lunch meetings with her close friends at the local diners in Teulon where she lived. Betty was predeceased by her husband Larry, sister Barbara Graham, brothers Jim and Doug Parker, son Richard 'Rick' Lewis, and granddaughter Dena Kannegiesser. She is survived by her mother Eileen, sister Beverly (Gary), brothers John and David; sons Ken (Charlene), and Don (Tracy), daughter Gwen (Peter), grandchildren Sherry (Chris), Kevin (Beryl), Torr, Sarah (Pedro), Sydney, Donald (Melissa) and Richard, as well as several great-grandchildren. Thank you to everyone who enriched her life and ours. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the MacKenzie Funeral Home in Teulon. Ken, Gwen, Donald and families. There is a special place in all of our hearts for our mothers, just as we know there is a special place in every mother’s heart for her children. That bond is never broken; even in the transformation from this world to the next. I know that you will continue to carry your mom's memory in your heart and through the many stories that you will continue to share with one another. I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your mom. I truly enjoyed my many visits with both your mom and Larry; years ago, at the trailer for coffee, lunch and treats. Your mom is once again reunited with Rick who's death would become one of your mom's greatest and longest struggles. My prayers are with all of you!
