Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY SCHADE (nee HELM) December 10, 1925 - May 10, 2017 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Dorothy passed peacefully following a lengthy illness at Calvary Place. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer in 1985. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Dwaine (Alice) and grandchildren, Pamela (Shawn) and Daniel; Marlis (Karen) and grandchildren Matthew and Andrew, daughter Janet and brothers Evard (Joan), Jim (Joan), and Glenn (Sherri), sisters Lenora (Bill) and Val (Austin) and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy's faith in God was strong and she attended Calvary Temple every Sunday. Dorothy led a simple life. Her greatest joys were gardening, spending family time at the lake and baking Christmas cookies for the grandchildren. The family thank the compassionate and caring staff of Calvary Place for their wonderful care of Dorothy these past three years. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). Viewing one hour prior to the service.
