WALDEMAR (WALLY) KRAMPETZ December 12, 1934 - May 12, 2017 With family by his side, our dearly beloved husband, father and grandpa, Wally, passed away peacefully at Grace General Hospital on Friday, May 12, 2017. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda, of almost 55 years, daughter Angela (Dean), and grandchildren Hannah and Adam. Also surviving is a brother Adolf (Monika) of Winnipeg, sister Valerie (David) of England, brother-in-law Luke of Winnipeg, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wally was predeceased by his parents, a brother, two sisters, his in-laws, and two brothers-in-law. Wally was born in Ukraine in 1934. He immigrated to Winnipeg from Germany in 1953 at the age of 18. He worked as a bricklayer until his retirement at the age of 65. He took pride in his work. Wally married Linda in 1962 and their only child, Angela, was born in 1964. He enjoyed outdoors and loved the time he spent at the cottage that he built; also listening to German music and watching sports on TV. Wally cherished his friendships. He was always willing to give a helping hand to others. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
