Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Emilie and her committee in 2002 as she had just finish a term of ten years with the closed church committee of Richer, Manitoba. Upon closure of the church, every Friday Emilie and her friends would gather together to pray concerning the reopening of the church. Becoming a committee, they fundraised and had some repairs done to the building. I found her to be a lady of faith, strength and determination. As the church doors were locked, she asked Paul, her husband to make a cross with two by fours. In the evening, while Paul slept, she carried the fairly large cross and deposited it at the church's doors. In the morning the Richer residents were amazed to see a symbol of faith in the shape of a wooden cross. My sympathy to the family. Emilie repose toi bien et merci pour tout ce que tu as fais pour l'Eglise Enfant Jésus. - Posted by: Patricia Gendreau (friend) on: May 21, 2017
