Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIMRE (JIM) TAKACS May 6, 1939 - May 15, 2017 Peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2017, Imre passed away at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 78 years. Remaining to cherish Dad's memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Beatrice; children Julianna (Blair) and Robert (Linda), as well as grandchildren Ashley and Matthew Cameron, and Douglas Takacs. He was predeceased by his parents and his three sisters. Dad came to Canada in 1957 at the age of 17. He had a variety of jobs before landing a job as a painter with Winnipeg Hydro at Pointe du Bois, MB. He transferred to Winnipeg and worked in the Maintenance Department at the Winnipeg Hydro Building on Rover Avenue. He retired just shy of 35 years in October, 1995.
