JOHN TYRONE ELLIOTT February 16, 1945 - May 18, 2017 It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Elliott family announces the passing of John Tyrone of Clandeboye, Manitoba, on May 18, 2017. John is now reunited with his parents, Wilfred and Mary June, brother Neely, sister Bonnie, and infant daughter Donna June. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Donna; children, Mike (Wendy), Susan (Terry) Comeau, Sherry (Jay) Snedden, Tammy (Vince) Dicks, John Jr. (Kim), and Murray (Candace); siblings, Betty Hall, Joey (Rick) McDonagh, Jacquie (Glenn) Ohlman, and Murray (Angie); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and numerous close personal friends that he considered as family. John was employed as a journeyman electrician for 32 years at Griffin Steel in Winnipeg, MB and was Union Steward for many years in service to his brothers. He took great pleasure in forever mowing the grass at "the farm", and loved entertaining everyone there. His spirit will be felt deep in our hearts for generations to come. Should friends desire, donations can be made in John's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, interment to follow. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • John, so sorry to hear of your passing. No one told me I just did a search on you and your obit. came up. We were friends with Fred Field, Sammy Kawasakie (your next door neighbour on Kensington St) and many more from St. James. We really had a good life didn't we? I sometimes wonder if your mom and dad ever finished your home there. I see you have a wonderful family. Who would have ever believed we'd be so lucky. See you soon old friend. - Posted by: David Warrilow (Old old friend) on: Jul 29, 2023
