JOHN HONEY 1930 - 2017 It is with sadness we announce the passing of Johnny on May 18, 2017, at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by his wife Betty in 2004, one brother, and his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his nephew Gerald Joss and his family, sister-in-law Dawn Berrie and family, brothers-in-law Frank De Bari, Gordon Wolansky and their families, and extended family and friends. John spent many years as a bookkeeper for various car dealerships throughout Winnipeg. He and Betty enjoyed travelling, gardening, and shared a passion for their dogs. To his friends he was known as the Gentle Giant with a warm smile and kind heart. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with entombment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. The family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Oakview Place Personal Care Home for their kind and compassionate care.
