RENWICK (RENNIE) JOHN CUTHBERTSON April 29, 1942 - May 20, 2017 With great sadness, we announce that Renwick passed away on Saturday, May 20. His memory will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Roberta, known as "Dolly" to Rennie, of almost 51 years; as well as their three wonderful children, Crystal Cuthbertson-Black (Robert) of Headingley, Corry Wilde (Brent) of Winnipeg and son Robin Cuthbertson (Jennifer) of Calgary. He will be greatly missed by his four grandsons: Bixby (Winnipeg), Porter, Keaton and Lincoln (Calgary). Renwick leaves his sister Ellen (Mike) and family of Alberta, brother Thomas (Lynne) of British Columbia and family, brother-in-law Lorne (Elaine) and extended family; also, long-time family friend Carol Perch. Renwick was predeceased by his parents William and Thelma Cuthbertson, as well as father and mother-in-law Royden and Dorothy Bateman. Renwick was born on April 29, 1942 in Morden, MB and grew up in Cartwright, MB. In 1963, Renwick moved to Winnipeg to start a new life. He worked as an elevator constructor, but took early retirement for health reasons. Renwick and Roberta were married in 1966. A celebration was held on July 30, 2016 to commemorate their 50th wedding anniversary. Rennie will be remembered for his love of family, nature and pets. Special thanks to Cheeko Jr. for his comfort to Rennie at the hospital. A special thank you goes to the care team at Grace Hospital (5N) who went above and beyond to treat Rennie and his loved ones with care and compassion. Your kindness is appreciated. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Renwick's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
