MAVIS AIMOE (nee HARVEY) 1937 - 2017 Sadly but peacefully, Mavis passed away, surrounded by family, on May 18, 2017, at Selkirk General Hospital, after a brief illness. Mavis was born on June 8, 1937, in Roland, Manitoba. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Twyla (John) Shepherd and Tracey Levasseur, son John Aimoe, and sister Donalda Mardynalka, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mom most enjoyed time with her family, taking trips to the States to visit her sister and friend Louie, spending many weekends and summers at the farm in Carmen, Manitoba, and looked forward to catching up with everyone at family gatherings. She was an avid reader and took immediately to computer gaming. Mom was most generous and a very giving, loving person and family was her world. Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main Street. Family and friends may meet at Glen Eden Funeral Home at 1:45 p.m. Reception will follow the graveside service in Glen Eden Reception Centre. As per Mavis' wishes, cremation has taken place.
