E. MERLE HILL 1935 - 2017 It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of E. Merle Hill on May 19, 2017. Merle was predeceased by her husband Orval Hill in 2006. She will be sadly missed by her children Claudette, Jamie (Marilyn), Dawn (Darren) and Jody; her sister Mavis; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends. Merle enjoyed roller skating, fishing, camping, and loved to do crafts. Merle also loved collecting salt and pepper shakers. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. A big thank you goes out to the caring staff at Riverview Palliative Unit. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. My fondest memories of Auntie Merle and the family are when we all went to the Narrows Camp Ground! Oh yes Auntie Merle gave me theses white jeans with bright flowers all over them for Christmas one year. No way was I going to wear them to school !!! I couldn't wait until I was big enough that they didn't fit..lol I kept putting them at the back of the closet hoping that mom wouldn't find them..lol Thank goodness she never did!!!!!! - Posted by: Cathy Weir (Cousin) on: May 27, 2017
