ELSIE ANTONATION (nee TKACHUK) October 11, 1934 - May 25, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Elsie, Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the age of 82 years. Remaining to cherish her memory and honour her life are her siblings, Peter Tkachuk (Niki), and Jean Antonation; children, Brenda (Mike), and Brian; grandchildren, Charlene (Mike), Jason (Lindsay), Tyler, and Leanne; and great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Aiden, and Theodore. Elsie was predeceased by husband Steve Antonation; mother Evelyn Tkachuk, father George Tkachuk, and brother Maurice Tkachuk. Elsie went by many titles; wife, mother, baba, and great baba. She was a very caring, soft spoken, selfless, hardworking woman with great love for her family. She was always very interested in her children's lives, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elsie always enjoyed the company of family, talking around the table, playing cards, cooking, and baking. When visiting her or even having her over to your place, some staple food items that you would always see would be things like; perogies, cabbage rolls, borscht, potato soup, pickles, coffee cake, cookies and pies. She always wanted everyone to be full and taking home food was a must! Talking about "the old times" and family history were also important to her, especially with the grandkids. She took great pride in her home and especially her flowers. For all these reasons and many more will she be greatly missed. We all love her very much! Small interment service to be held at Brookside Cemetery, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE (204) 949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
