  • I just found out about Jim's passing and was deeply saddened. Jim and I "grew up" together in Air Cadets and continued our friendship long after we left cadets. I couldn't begin to count the times we laughed, joked, sang a goofy song, and just enjoyed hanging out. I will miss you Jim. - Posted by: Lindsey Sparks (Friend) on: Jun 21, 2017

  • Jim and a bunch of us used to dance, dance, dance all night long. We had many laughs together and he will be missed. I always remember the special dinner he hosted quite a few years ago and he did all the cooking. It was a wonderful meal and it was so kind and thoughtful of him to have little gifts for all of us at our seat around the table. He was a very special intelligent but quiet man most of the time; but he sure did like to dance. My condolences to Jim's family and to those who were so close to him during his time of waiting for his Lord and Saviour to come for him. - Posted by: Marion (Friend) on: Jun 07, 2017

  • I am extremely saddened to hear of Jim's passing. During the time I was at HC, he always had a smile and a kind word. I would often see him riding his bike to the office - in all types of weather! He obviously enjoyed the outdoors and being on that bike. My sincere condolences are sent to the Funk family during this very sad time. RIP Jim. - Posted by: Adele Palmer (former colleague) on: Jun 07, 2017

  • Truly sorry for the families loss and offer my heartfelt sympathies. Jim was very dedicated to his work and the many years he spent serving the Union. He really was a very kind person. As I got to know Jim, I found that he was very compassionate and really loved his outdoor activities. Now he is truly free to spread his "silver wings" and fly wherever he wants to go as he would have wanted to be. RIP Jim - Posted by: Jackie Chaput (Co-Worker) on: Jun 07, 2017
