Denise was born in Lorette on March 20, 1925. She joins her parents, Philippe and Berthilde; her siblings, Bertha, Laurette, Edmée, Joseph and Louis; and great-grandchild Caleb. Denise is survived by her three sons, Denis (Laurie), Gary (Mitz) and Richard (Irene); six grandchildren, Lori, Steven, Sarah (Joe), Holly, Robin (Tracy) and Ninette (Chris); and 10 great-grandchildren. Denise was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Through trials and tribulations, she always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She loved her desserts, especially banana splits, enjoyed travelling with friends, baking, knitting, and going for walks. She had a deep faith in God and was devoted to the church. Denise was kind-hearted, caring, outgoing and always there to help friends and family and will be deeply missed. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Parish at 252 Dubuc St., Winnipeg, Manitoba. Prayers will be held at 10:15 a.m. and interment will follow in the Lorette Parish Cemetery at a later date. Dear Denis, Gary and Richard, I had been thinking of your mom more lately, not having heard from her in the last while. She called me every year. That's the way she was. Loyal to family. I finally decided to look online to see if she had passed away and sadly she had. I will miss her, but I still remember her voice. My condolences to you and yours. Perhaps you won't see this letter because it's been over a year since she passed away, but I wanted to let you know that I loved her too. You may recall that I met you way back in 1969 when I stayed at your home. Your parents helped get home back to Kitchener, by train. I had come to Winnipeg with my girlfriend, but that didn't work out. I wish you well.
