A celebration of life will be held at the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery) on Tuesday evening, June 13, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. Private interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery. I just came across Jackie's obituary now, 1 1/2 yrs after her passing. I knew Jackie many years ago when she was living in Edmonton. I lived in the same apartment building and we became very good friends. She moved back to Winnipeg and I moved back to BC and we haven't spoken in many years. I was thinking of her and looked her up and found her obituary. She was a beautiful woman with a good heart and I loved her as my friend. Joey my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family with the loss of Jackie. I remember Jackie as such a friendly and pleasant person. She always took the time to talk with me as she did with others. I knew her to be upbeat and positive. Being out of the loop for some time now I was unaware of her latest illness. This must have been devastating for you Joey and your family. No words can ease your sorrow but the Joey I know has great faith and I know you will seek this path for comfort . Thinking of you .
