LARRY JOHN STRINGER March 13, 1960 - June 4, 2017 Peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2017, Larry passed away. Predeceased by his parents, Providence La Monica Stringer-Delipper and Harold Stringer. Survived by his brothers, Gary (Darlene) and David (Chantelle) and sister Monica, nieces and nephews, Christian, Crystal (Bill) and Laurent, as well as their children, Chanel, Ashley, Skye, Evan and Luciana. Larry worked for CFS for more than 20 years. He often expressed how he wished he could do more for the children he supervised. He was a very strong fellow, he had back surgery in his youth and many days he lived with more aches and pains than most of us. Larry was still outgoing and always had a cheery "hello" to everyone and usually something comical to say. He enjoyed a good laugh and lived life to the fullest. He not only loved to socialize with his buddies but also loved his car and made sure it was kept like new, it was his pride and joy. His quick little visit in the mornings with will be sadly missed by Gary, Darlene and Laurent. He never stayed long but it was a good way to make sure all was well with each other. Last week he mentioned a couple of things that he added to his bucket list and we will make sure that these will be met. Service will be held on Tuesday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. • I would like to thank Larry and express my sincere condolences to his family and friends. Although many years have passed, Larry is still one of the most significant people in my life. I met him when he was a cheeky 26 year old. He had such a silly sense of humour. I loved that about him. We were together for many years and then our time came to an end, and we grew apart. I never forgot him and thought of him from time to time, oddly enough just recently. I thank him for being part of my life and accepting me for who I was, he helped me so much in my own journey. That was one of his gifts, he was as people are saying, a loving and generous man. Rest in peace Larry. Colleen - Posted by: Colleen (Friend) on: Jun 12, 2017

  • Larry was a friend to everybody he knew. He had no enemies but when his buds needed him he had their back espessially in a fight. He was thoughtful and more generous than most. One summer he set a new fashion trend combining spandex shorts and cowboy boots (he loved his boots) and became "The Spandex Cowboy" Ride on in Heaven Friend, Wingman, Brother Forever. - Posted by: Rich Pichette (Friend) on: Jun 12, 2017
