  • It is hard to think that we are not going to see Sunuda any more. While we miss you, I know for sure you will be along the ride in our hearts. - Posted by: Dr. Pallab (Paul) Ganguly (Friend) on: Jun 12, 2017

  • Dear Shubha & family, I am so sorry to have news of your loss. Sunuda was a good friend, and we used to enjoy our morning walks at St. Vital Mall and coffee together; I have many happy memories of those times, especially reminiscing about our childhood days in India. I am particularly grateful for friendship, and the times Sunuda and you drove me out to attend Puja ceremonies and kept me company. My prayers are with you all, and may God help you through this difficult time. God bless you all, and may "Dadu" rest in peace. Rory - Posted by: Rory Fonseca (Friend) on: Jun 11, 2017

  • Dr. R.M. Das was a wonderful, intelligent, jovial and wise man. He was always there for our family. His friendship and love was expressed over the decades. He was bigger than life with his huge belly laugh, interesting anecdotes and great advice. What was special about him is that all three of us had our own personalized relationship with him. For my father, he was a dear friend and he lovingly referred to him as "Das Babu" while he jokingly in return called him "Sadhu Baba." For my mother, he was an older brother and he treated her like a younger sister. She showed her respect by calling him "Sunuda." While for me, he will always be Das uncle, the only uncle that I had whose last name I used as his first, the person who could always make me laugh and treated me as his daughter by making my favourite egg curry when I came over for dinner. We all have such wonderful memories of the evenings that we spent eating delicious food at any of the two houses, playing bridge, talking and most of all laughing! He will be sorely missed! Our condolences are extended to his loving family especially Shubha Das and Ratna Das as well as Donald and Priya Petrocco. Please know that we are here for you. We love and care for you in your hour of need and always. I know that as he looks down on earth he is extremely proud of all of you! As we say our goodbyes, I have this picture in my mind where he is having the time of his life debating in Bengali and English with many a learned men up in heaven. And I am sure he is winning! His memories and beautiful personality will live on in our hearts and minds forever! Thank you Dr. Radha Das for enriching and adding colour to our lives!
