I thought of Sandra often. Wondered how life was treating her. I was Happy to hear to this day she was still married to the love of her life, Onof and that her children have grown up to be wonderful young adults. I grew up with Sandy in Fort Garry and we attended Ralph Maybank school. I have many fond memories of spending time at her house as it was right across the back lane from school. Time was spent forming our "dance troop" where in the end we performed at the Nursing home her mom had worked at. The elderly loved us being there. I remember baking with her mom, babysitting her cousins Francesca & Rosetta (I believe that was their names) and hanging out at Westridge Community Club. I only wish we had connected again later in life. My deepest condolences to her family. Rest in peace my friend. God has another Angel - Posted by: Delaine (Childhood Friend) on: Jun 16, 2017

As a customer of the restaurant, I knew Onofrio when we both were younger men. I recall his excitement when he told me years ago when he was getting married and then he shared his bliss a few years later when he told me he and Sandra now had twins. In time, Massimo and Giordana would be would be students of ours at Westgate Mennonite Collegiate and it was wonderful having this family in the school. The only key problem was trying to pay for lunch. I once slipped into a booth and had my youngest daughter order and try to pay. I think Sandra's eyes narrowed as she studied my daughter, recognized her as a Westgate kid and peered around the cash register to lock eyes with me. Yet another free lunch. The Westgate staff speak of the poise, grace and kindness that Sandra radiated. We all mourn for Onofrio and the twins. - Posted by: bob hummelt (family friend) on: Jun 15, 2017

I worked with Sandra for over 5 years at the Caboto Centre, she was the most loving and caring person that I know. Always with a pleasant smile, her children was the most important thing in her life, they came first above all. Her love for her husband and family was the very high, it meant every thing to her. I will miss her as many of the people who had a chance to know her I pray for the family she left behind. Stay strong and celebrate the memories of joy and laughter she shared with you. RIP Sandra,... gone but never forgotten. - Posted by: Louis Rodriguez (Friend) on: Jun 14, 2017
