Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN WALTER SEDOR August 19, 1936 - June 13, 2017 John Sedor passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his wife Marie, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 80 years. He had been in declining health since October, and has now gone to join his mother Madeline, father Paul, brother Adam, sister Madeleine (and husband Walter), brother-in-law Vincent, and good friend Marshall. Left to mourn his passing are his best friend and wife Marie, sisters, Eva and Phyllis (Ron), Adam's wife Evelyn, brothers, Willie (Marusia), Pete (Marlene) and Don (Janice), and many nieces and nephews. John grew up in Meadowlands and Oak Brae, Manitoba, and packed a lot into his life! Always busy, he enjoyed a variety of occupations in the construction field and building handy things. He also loved playing violin in his band with his brothers and making up new tunes. This year, John and Marie celebrated 55 years of marriage. In that time, they embarked on many projects and adventures. When they had any time off, they would pack a lunch and go exploring around the country and many of the States. They especially enjoyed their trips to California and Mexico. Together, John and Marie created a retirement nest in Dauphin, but ill health compelled them to move to Winnipeg for easier access to pacemaker clinics and specialists. The residents and management of Saints Peter and Paul Manor are greatly appreciated for their many kindnesses. Heartfelt thanks go to the First Responders and Paramedics who attended on numerous occasions with such efficiency and compassion. Finally, many thanks are due to Dr. Holder, Dr. Lam, Dr. Hughes, and Dr. Al Kaabi for their care. John's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 390 Marion Street, with Father Darren Kawiuk officiating. Visitation and The Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. An informal come-and-go luncheon will follow in the Saints Peter and Paul Manor multi-purpose room. John will be laid to rest in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. Desjardins 204-233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca
