DUANE EDWARD KOWBLUK July 21, 1965 - June 18, 2017 Duane Edward Kowbluk, age 51, of Richer, Manitoba, passed away on June 18, 2017 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. He is survived by: his common-law wife Grace Pryzner; his daughters: Emily, Brittany and step-daughter Destiny; grandchildren: Kylee, Payton and Sophie; his mother Betty Kowbluk, sister Selena, brother-in-law Mike, nephew Ethan and niece Kayla. He was predeceased by his father Fred Kowbluk and son Bill. He worked most of his life as an RV technician, working for RV shops in Winnipeg and BC. Eventually he and his dad opened their own RV repair shop in Richer, Manitoba. He also liked to buy and sell the odd vehicle, as he was also a registered MUCDA car dealer. He repaired their trailers in his shop to onsite in the RV parks in the area. His joy was taking pride in every job he did. He was a loyal and trustworthy person. Only expectation he really had was honesty. He loved making his friends and customers happy. He was his happiest when he got to go fishing and hunting. He would smile from ear to ear. At the end of the day he loved to come home, have a drink, kick his feet up while sitting on his deck and listening to nature. He loved the outdoors. He was an honest, loyal, and loving but yet stubborn man. He stuck to his values and morals no matter what the consequences. He fought a short yet hard battle with cancer. Cancer was in his right lung, lymphnoids, and two spots in the brain. He was a courageous and strong man until the day he sadly left us. He has touched a lot of hearts throughout his short life. His wish was to have no funeral service. Special thanks to Dr. Bergman and all the staff at the Bethesda Hospital. Special thanks to the Cancer Doctors: Dr. Tan and Dr. Butler, and staff at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Also, thank you to Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach for their services. He is going to be sadly missed by everyone. He was a very special person and can never be replaced. My friend told me if you go coast to coast and around the world you will never find another Duane Kowbluk. His words are so true.
