ROBERT (BOB) MALONE
Born: Jul 04, 1936
Date of Passing: Jun 21, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) MALONE It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert (Bob) N. Malone, on June 21, 2017, in the Beausejour Hospital, Beausejour, MB. Bob was born July 4, 1936 and was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend. He was predeceased by his parents, Brigadier General R. S. Malone and Helen Mary Malone, oldest daughter Laurie Seel, son-in-law Brian Seel, son Robert (Bobby) Malone Jr., and stepmother Ioana Soutzo Malone. He is survived by his loving wife and partner Irene, daughters, Patti Malone, Tracy Backus (Ted), Pamela Kidd (Wade) and Leigh Malone, son Michael Malone (Shelley), brother Richard Malone (Rodney), sister Deirdre Malone, stepsister Marina Sturdza, grandchildren, Tara, Bri-Anne, Dori, Kari, Jason, Amanda, Megan, Abby, Dylan, Tyler, Trevor, Brittany, Joelle and Cameron, and, great-grandchildren Celeste, J.T., Koen, Kinley, Wilkie and Ayla. Twenty-six years of the fellowship of AA gave Bob and his family an existence of which none of them could ever have dreamed. He made many wonderful friends over the years, several of them being AA members and they know who they are - too numerous to mention. His message to all of you, "I am ready to meet the God of my Understanding and am grateful you led me to Him." Having done the Twelve Steps of AA, he leaves with no personal relationships unmended where he was able to make them better, and came to accept that not all could be. He found a relationship with a power greater than himself, nurtured daily and experienced the richness in sharing the program he was freely given with others. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A special thank you to Dr. Nicholas Van Rensberg and the nursing staff at the Beausejour Hospital for the wonderful care during Bob's stay there. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oakbank Baptist Church, 26033 Springfield Road 63N in Oakbank, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission, the Siloam Mission, or the Addictions Recovery Incorporated. This obituary may also be viewed at www.seasonsfunerals.ca

Dear Irene and all of RM's Family, Please accept our sincerest condolences in the passing of your wonderful, husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and all the other valued roles he fulfilled, and enjoyed during his lifetime. Most won't know of the relationship that RM and I shared early in my life when he gave me an opportunity that lead to the professional career path that I successfully followed for 30 years. While we were separated for many years, the gratitude and respect that I maintained for RM over my lifetime, and including after we were able to renew a very close relationship later in our lives; that gratitude and respect for him will last in me for the rest of my life. I was so blessed to have RM as a friend and influence, and my life, like everyone that loved and knew him, will have a huge void now that he has passed on after being such a great influence on me in his life. God Bless all of you, and especially you RM. It is with deep sympathy that we extend our thoughts and prayers to Irene and all of Bob's extended family. Bob was a true friend who would always make himself available to help where he could. We know that with his passing it will leave a deep void to many whose lives he touched through the program of Alcoholics Anonymous along with countless others who consider him a true friend. He will be missed but our hope and prayers to the entire family would be that you gain strength in knowing that many others share in your loss at this time.
