Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS ZANZOW June 5, 1934 - June 19, 2017 It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Tom, on June 19, 2017, at age 83. He is survived by his wife, companion and friend of over 30 years, Donna; children, Shawn (Erny), Paislee, Suzanne (Mark), Michelle (Dave) and Stephen (Doreen); grandchildren, Jason (Caroline), Eric (Lisa), Alyssa, Dane, Jason, Jennifer, Graham and Mathew; great-grandchildren, Lili and Skye; and sisters, Anne and Betty. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Irene. Corporal in the Royal Canadian Air Force serving from April, 1952 until May, 1975. The majority of his adult life he resided in Manitoba. In his early adulthood Tom nurtured his creativity through painting and drawing. Later enjoying fishing, golfing, airplanes and all things airplane related. He enjoyed his employment for many years with Bristol Aerospace; reinforcing his love for airplanes. Sadly he was forced to take an early retirement due to health. Tom and Donna enjoyed many of their retirement years in Gimli, MB. Tom was active in the Legion and participated in numerous darts and bowling leagues. Tom was very proud of being recognized for over 300 donations to the Canadian Blood Services. He was also very proud of participating in the 55+ Senior Bowling games. He loved his cats, gardening, puzzles and models. He was very supportive and encouraging of all his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed lunches and dinners with Paislee and was happy when his granddaughter joined the RCMP, he now had someone to talk guns with. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2017 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, followed by an interment. I knew Tom when I was a young adult, he and Donna were so good to me always offering great hospitality and much needed guidance. I will always remember Tom as a gentle, kind soul who was loving. Deb - Posted by: Deb (Friend) on: Mar 07, 2021

Donna, we are so sorry in the passing of Tom. He was such a nice, gentle man and a gentleman, quiet and unassuming. We remember him with fondness, and so smart looking in his uniform at the Remembrance Day celebration at the high school. Our condolences to you and your family.
