JOHN KENNETH SWANSON Today, June 28, 2017, we inter the ashes of John Kenneth Swanson, beloved husband of Phyllis Swanson, son, dad, papa, brother, brother-in law, uncle, co-worker and friend of many others, to lay beside Phyllis for eternity. John lived, laughed and loved a hard but good, honest life. Wild in his younger years, amazing father in his middle years and an awesome grandfather and friend and person all his years. Growing up in the times they did Dad loved his life that he shared with all. Dad especially loved the many fishing, beers, hunting, beers, hockey, beers, baseball, beers, stories, beers and laughs, beers with his good and wonderful friends, John Spence, Mel Moser, Clyde Martin, Alfie Coumont, Teddy Geard and so many more. Dad worked hard for everything he had. A retired Air Force veteran and retired again from Boeing. He taught us to appreciate what we made of ourselves, to accept what is and to deal with what life deals us. Life didn't deal Dad the best hand but he sure dealt with it. Guess that's what made us all a little stronger. Boy if we could have made things different for him, we sure would have. We, all of the Swanson family, would like to thank everyone for all your kindness, cards, thoughts, and wishes and just for being there for us and our dad. We love you Dad, we miss you dearly but you are with Mom again and that makes our hearts happy. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

Yes... Those were the days. What I would give for just one more trip with the old gang. RIP my friend. - Posted by: Mel Moser (Friend) on: Jun 28, 2017
