COLLEEN JOYCE MUNROE (nee BULMER) September 11, 1929 - June 27, 2017 Surrounded by the love of her family, our mother passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord. Colleen was predeceased by her parents Clayton George Bulmer and Merle Campbell Bulmer, as well as her sisters Marguerite Bulmer and Elda Moriarty. She is missed by four children, Leesa and Theo, Paul and Suzann, Howard and Donna, Julie and Mitchell Woo, and eight grandchildren, Cole and Chanelle, Derek, Devon and Dakota, Campbell, and Kellen and Aaron. She also leaves the father of her children, George Munroe, her sister Eleanor Henderson, her brother-in-law Brian Moriarty, and nieces and nephews. Colleen was born and raised in Carman, Manitoba, and as a very young woman moved to Winnipeg where she was employed at Eaton's until she married in 1952. In later years, she was a receptionist at Public Press. Mom took pride in raising a family and was dedicated to everything which enhanced the home. She baked pastries, decorated for Christmas, restored antiques, played beautiful music, and preserved family genealogy, accomplishing each detail with her unique flair. In addition to these many talents, our mother was also a gifted caregiver. Mom enjoyed her cherished home, tending her garden filled with flowers, birds, and charm, until her move to Jocelyn House in June. We are grateful to Jocelyn House Hospice for the extraordinary love and care they shared with all of us. Our mother will be lovingly remembered for her resourcefulness, creativity, love of nature and beauty, and great generosity. She leaves a legacy of a life devoted to her loved ones. The funeral service will be at Doyle's Funeral Chapel, Carman, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jocelyn House, or the Dufferin Museum, Carman. Doyle's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. www.doylesfuneralhome.ca
