LINDA LORETTA DOJACK It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Linda Loretta (Remus) Dojack on July 4, 2017, beloved wife of Robert and adored mother of Erin (Stephen), Lindsay and Marc (Ashley). She was "art partner", "spy consultant", "co-zoo explorer", best buddy and nana to Ella. Her late grandson, Benjamin, held a very special place in her heart. She will be incredibly missed by family and friends. She was born and raised in Pembroke, Ontario surrounded by cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, her sister, Donna, and parents, Gordon and Loretta Remus. She excelled in school and despite being a self-described "home body", she moved to Ottawa where she attended Carleton University and achieved a degree in math. She met Rob, and the following year they married in Pembroke. They moved to Winnipeg shortly afterwards and in the coming years started their family. Even though she spent more years in Winnipeg than she had in Ontario, she was always an "Ottawa Valley girl" at heart. Linda worked on contracts while the kids were young and returned to full time work when all the kids were in school. She attained her Human Resources Management Certificate and worked as a human resources manager at the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission for over 25 years before retiring. She loved to spend time with family and friends. Get togethers often included wonderful meals, many laughs and great times. Her hospitality was legendary as were her holiday meals and weekly family Sunday dinners. With great joy and passion, she travelled the world, including trips to Turkey, Poland, Israel, Peru (she hiked to the Sun Gate at Mach Pichu!), Morocco, Croatia, Romania and Budapest. She had an incredibly kind and compassionate heart and had an unfailing ability to see the goodness in people. She was a hard worker. We hardly ever saw her sit when there was something to get done. She approached each project with an abundance of energy, whether it was her volunteer work with CancerCare, the church, or helping her kids and husband with whatever they needed (whenever they needed it). Amidst a busy schedule, her close connections with extended family and friends was essential to who she was. She brought joy with her wherever she went. She was our everything. We will miss her every day but are so thankful for the time she was "ours". Funeral service will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 600 Cambridge Street. Thanks to Dr. Goldenberg, the staff at CancerCare, Dr. Ainslie and the staff at the respiratory clinic. A very special thank you to family and friends who supported the care of our mom and helped care for us during her last days at home. Donations can be made in her honour to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

I didn’t know of Linda’s passing until today. Worked with Linda our whole careers at MLLC. She was a treasure to me. Lots of history and memories even outside of work...like when I had had my heart attack and she delivered a hamper to my home and started to walk away. I said no..come back. We talked for an hour or so. So warm and pleasant and loving. Sorry this is so late but I didn’t know. So sorry for our loss. I went to high school with Linda and she dated my older brother, Kerry. I am shocked to hear of her death at such a young age. At the same time I am gladdened to read her life story and the positive impact she had on friends and family in Winnipeg. She was a lovely person to know and to hang around with in Pembroke so many years ago. I am very sorry for her family. Chris McCann Ottawa - Posted by: Christopher McCann (Friend) on: Jul 16, 2017

I worked with Linda years ago when she volunteered on the Board of Directors for the Day Care Volunteer Program and more recently at CancerCare Manitoba. She had a true volunteer spirit and we were fortunate that she shared it with so many. She left a legacy of caring and kindness that will not be forgotten. - Posted by: Kathy Harrison (CCMB) on: Jul 10, 2017

Dear Bob, I'm so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. I don't think I can recall a time that Linda wasn't so full of happiness; always laughing and smiling. Remember my dad would sometimes bump into Linda at Safeway and he would talk for days about what a wonderful person Linda was...we used to tease my dad that he had a secret crush on Linda (and I think he did!) Linda and I also shared some good laughs in our time together at MLCC and also both had a passion for managing the people side of change. But we also shared our own personal hardships and challenges with one another - that's what made us friends. A lovely, vibrant person taken far too soon. My thoughts are with all of you as I know she will be deeply missed. - Posted by: Faye Wankling (Former Co-Worker/Friend) on: Jul 06, 2017

I worked in close proximity with Linda when we were on the LINK project. She would always bring a smile to my face because her smile was contagious. Her laugh was also contagious. Linda was one of the most genuine people I know and I know she's in a better place, having those people laugh at her contagious laugh. - Posted by: Colin Glass (Ex-Coworker) on: Jul 06, 2017
