JEAN ROBB (nee TAVERNER) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Robb, at Victoria Hospital, on July 2, 2017. She is survived by her daughter Lois Neufeld (Jake); daughter-in-law Marilyn Robb of Campbell River, BC; grandchildren, Laurel Neufeld (Shannon Larkins), Scott Neufeld (Amanda Paraiso), Erin Morris (Jiva) Victoria, BC, and Graham Robb (Jen Miao) Victoria, BC; and great-grandchildren Emma and Lily Neufeld, Malaya Morris and Ellie Neufeld. Jean was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1972, son Garry in 1988, and sisters Ina Strongman and Margaret Smith. She was born in 1921 and resided in Fort Garry her entire life. She married William in 1945 and spent her early married life raising her two children, Garry and Lois. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Ringer's Drug Store until retirement. Jean was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and loved her many nieces and nephews and her special cousin Delia in England. She had two special friends in her lifetime, Olive Klippenstein, and in her later years, Mary Sedun. Jean was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making meals for her family. She was also an exceptional knitter and has left many samples of her work for us to enjoy. She loved to travel and had wonderful trips to Hawaii, Europe and British Columbia. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
