Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • I was so looking forward to finally meeting John in October, the farmer who had totally captured the heart of my beautiful cousin Jeanne. Alas, not to be. Now I look forward to meeting his children and grandchildren who I am sure will share their memories of him and prove to be worthy of his legacy. Rest in peace John and thank you for being a wonderful husband to my dear cousin. - Posted by: Jane Harris (cousin (in law)) on: Jul 27, 2017

  • I first met John back in 2007 on my first trip over to Canada to meet my family. From the off he was a kind and welcoming guy with a great sense of humour. He made me feel right at home. The same could be said in my returning visit in 2012. John was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent much of his day out on the farm. He was a shining example to his children and loved so dearly by his wife. I remember on my first trip over him and Jeanne were in the hot tub and Derek, Wade, Tyler and I bombarded them with cold water balloons- it was their 25th wedding anniversary. John seemed so mad, he told me he was going to send me home to London immediately. Next thing I know he's chasing us with a huge bucket of cold water and I'm soaked! He wasn't mad at all he was just joining in with the joke. Such a great guy. I will miss him sincerely and am sad that I never got the opportunity to see him again. Rest in peace John, until we meet again xxx - Posted by: Sara Hunt (Cousin (in law) ) on: Jul 26, 2017
