Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • This is so very late. I learned of Shirley's passing today. Tom & Shirley were favoured clients of mine when I was an Interior Designer at Wison's Furniture. We had such fun together. After Tom's death, Shirley & I kept in contact occasionally, & I always enjoyed our visits & chats. We shared September as our birth month & our chats were often at that time. I'm so sorry I didn't follow up earlier; my own health issues in 2016-2017 got in the way. - Posted by: Dale Ketcheson (Scott) (Friend) on: Jan 08, 2019

  • John and I are so sorry to learn of the passing of your Mom. She was such a great lady, so full of fun and such a wonderful laugh. We just learned of her passing on the August Long Weekend, so very sorry this took so long to arrive to all of you. She did live to be a good age so sure hope she went peacefully in the night. - Posted by: Rita and John Eyer (Good Friends of the entire Family) on: Aug 10, 2017

  • I just had a blast from the past while reading my Free Press. We lived side by side in Dauphin and I babysat at your house. I remember Tannis and Sandra, Greg(?) and Peter(?). There was also the Kibbins family in that house, so I may be mixing up the boys names. A dog named Buzz? Your Grandma Barager used to visit my mother at times. I remember your mom as a happy person and thought you were so lucky! Mine was much older and set in her ways. I would love to re-connect with you and just "catch up". Also, I would like to extend my sympathy re: the loss of your Mom and your aunt, so close together. Linda (Ross) Rudd - Posted by: Linda (Ross) Rudd (Ex-neighbour in Dauphin) on: Jul 29, 2017

  • As director of the University Women's Club Handbell Choir I always admired Shirley's boundless energy and zest for life. I loved her sense of humour. She amazed her fellow bell ringers with her dedication to the art of handbell ringing. She will be sorely missed by the many people she met during life's journey. My deepest sympathy and prayers to all family members in the loss of your beloved Shirley. - Posted by: Morna-June Morrow (Fellow handbell ringer) on: Jul 26, 2017
