WILLIAM HOWARD SPENCER December 12, 1943 - July 25, 2017 William (Bill) Howard Spencer passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 73 years. Bill was born on December 12, 1943 in Winnipeg, the eldest of five children. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Sandy, sister Sharon, his son Barry, and his partner Hilda. He is survived by his son Billy, sister Cathy, brother Robin (Lee), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill worked at various occupations over his lifetime including: Labatts, Pioneer Electric, Hotel owner, DND at 17 Wing Winnipeg, and Atomic Energy Commission in Pinawa where he eventually settled. He had a special fondness for his nieces and nephews and a love for pets and animals, especially feeding the wild deer in his back yard in Pinawa. Billy was liked by all who knew him and worked with him. Bill, you will be missed. A special thanks to his friends in Pinawa who were there for Bill when he needed you. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 11.00 a.m., Friday, August 4 at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
