Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHANNA JONASINA (DOLLY) WEIDL (nee REYKDAL) Peacefully, in her sleep, Mom passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Selkirk Regional Hospital. She was born February 12, 1921 in Scanterbury, Manitoba. She is survived by her children Arnold (Sandy) of Winnipeg Beach, Geraldine (Rodney) of Sandy Hook, Roy (Janice) of Winnipeg and Randy (Doris) of St. Paul, Alberta. She is lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son (our brother) Curtis. Mom met and married Joseph Weidl on February 12, 1938, and settled in Winnipeg Beach. Mom had many talents. She was an accomplished cake decorator, loved music, sewing, and penned numerous short stories and poems. Mom and Dad enjoyed camping and fishing the lakes of Manitoba. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, 291 Church Hill Rd., Winnipeg Beach, with Reverend Robin Mather officiating. Viewing will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Winnipeg Beach Community Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Homes Ltd.
