PACITA CRUZ Pacita Cruz, age 99, of Ternate, Cavite, Philippines, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the comfort of her own home. She was the beloved wife of Ignacio Cruz of Pasig, Philippines. Pacita was born in Ternate, Cavite, Philippines on April 3, 1918. Pacita was predeceased by her husband Ignacio Cruz; parents Thomas and Valeriana Casteloy Catipon; and son Avelino Cruz. Pacita leaves behind her beloved children Dominador Cruz, Fely Figueroa, Rosita Cruz, Veegee Vallance, Dina Cruz, Celes Decumutan and Tong Cruz. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pacita was a beautiful, strong-willed and gracious person; she loved taking care of her grandchildren like they were her own. She was a good, loving housewife and cooked food to sell to the locals in the neighbourhood to help out her husband in supporting their children. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, making clothes, and simply time with her friends and family. Lamay will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius Church, 846 Burrows Avenue.
