ANNALIESE TEICHRIEB
Date of Passing: Jul 26, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNALIESE TEICHRIEB - Please note funeral time change. On July 26, 2017, Anne passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Anneliese was a woman of short stature but very large faith and willpower. Her early years of danger and deprivation during the war in Russia were formative, helping to create her strong sense of independence, but at the same time a deep seated faith in God's Love, and a great desire to help others around her. Arriving in Canada at age 18 with her mother and siblings, Anneliese found a job and attended evening classes. Eventually completing her LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) training, she nursed for the next 30 years, helping people. And then, upon retiring, Anneliese felt God calling her to use her gift of nursing to help others in Russia for four summers with Kingdom Ventures International. She will be missed for her strength of character, her love of God and others, and yes, even for her stubbornness! She is survived by her sister Elvira (Loewen), brothers, Arnold and George (Betty), and many nieces, nephews and their families. Anne said, "Please thank the staff and volunteers at Donwood and Riverview Health Centre. May God reward each individual." The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at McIvor Mennonite Brethren Church, 200 McIvor Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Viewing prior to the service. If so desired, donations may be made to Mennonite Brethren Missions, Kingdom Ventures International, or a charity of one's choice. Services arranged by Glen Eden Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4477 Main St., West Saint Paul, MB. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 338-7111
