Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES BORKOWSKI July 14, 1940 - August 3, 2017 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jim, our beloved husband, dad and grandpa on Thursday, August 3, 2017 after a brief struggle with cancer at the age of 77 years. Jim leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Terry, daughter Donna and husband Peter Skrupski, grandchildren, Kyra (Justin) and Blake. He is also survived by his sister Verna. He was predeceased by his dear son Mark, his parents, Joseph and Rose, siblings, Charlie, Beverley and Norman, and brother-in-law Roy. Jim loved living and being involved in the communities of Hazelridge and Cooks Creek for over 40 years. He had a passion for curling, fishing and especially maintaining his immaculate yard. He also loved travelling to places such as Australia, Mexico and Cuba. Terry and the family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to their family, friends and the residents of Dugald Estates for their tremendous support. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the OakBank Baptist Church, 26033 Springfield Road in OakBank with Pastor Bob Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cooks Creek Community Centre, Box 89, Group 23, RR2, Dugald, MB R0E 0K0 or online at www.cookscreekcc.ca. seasonsfunerals.ca

Terry, Donna and Family I was shocked and sadden to hear of the passing of Jim. I will always remeber him with his great smile and laughter. He had a great sense of humor and always joking around. My memories of Jim are when we worked together as Knights of Columbus and curled in a few curling bonspiels. We always had a lot of fun as Jim was a great guy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Terry and family. We will miss him scooting by our house in his scooter and stopping for a few beer occasionally.
