  • Beulah loves Saskatoon berries, pumpkin pie, curling, baseball, the Canadian flag, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, knitting socks and mitts, Remembrance Day poppy, reading a book before bedtime, feeding birds, supporting the Salvation Army, WWF-Canada. Please say a prayer and think of Beulah if you encounter any of the listed. Thank you kindly. - Posted by: Lily (Beulah's Malaysian granddaughter) on: Aug 12, 2017

  • Beulah was truly an amazing woman, strong and with a huge heart. Her saintly qualities (patriotic, righteous, law abiding, awesome baker, loving, caring, generous, forgiving, humble, honest, genuine, positive, diligent, organized, independent, strong despite adversity, inviting, and the list goes on) were beyond extraordinary and are truly infectious. I have lots to learn. She had touched and helped so many lives. She will forever be cherished and am truly grateful and thankful to God everyday for Beulah's presence in my life, my mentor, my best friend, my beloved Canadian grandmother. I miss you dearly, Beulah. Dear Lord, please take good care of Beulah, that her soul is at peace, healthy, joyful, and free in your Heavenly Kingdom and that her family members be comforted in this difficult time of grief. Amen. Story #1: My first attempt at baking no-egg apple muffins. The result was inedible hard as rock muffins. Beulah noticing that I was super down, she put together a quick batch of apple muffin without using egg, showing me which part I went wrong and her muffins turned out super yummy! Story #2: Bunnies were attacking Beulah's vegetable garden. Beulah attempted all sorts, from shooing them to putting up a fence (they had no trouble hopping over), to putting some bunny deterring scent surrounding the garden, to putting a device that emitted high frequency, to using a slingshot. Although victory was Bunnies 1, Beulah 0, I was amazed at Beulah's never give up attitude. Story #3: Beulah was there for my baptism, graduation, and wedding. Beulah welcomed me into her home despite no rooms were available at the time of my downfall. Beulah taught me a lot of life skills (e. g., home maintenance to knitting, to using calendar to organize my todos, to being righteous and living within my means). Beulah showed my parents around when they traveled to Winnipeg for my convocation, and stayed in touch with my mom through snail mail. Beulah was there for me through my good times and bad, Beulah loved me despite my shortcomings. I was truly blessed to have met Beulah, my real life angel. - Posted by: Lily (Beulah's Malaysian granddaughter) on: Aug 12, 2017

  • Buelah was a good friend to all at the Fort Garry Legion Saturday afternoon bingoS. Even when she did not feel well, she always had a smile and greeted all when she came in. She will be missed by all of us at Fort Garry. - Posted by: Verna Gallop (friend) on: Aug 10, 2017
