Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ZAPOTOTSKY (nee FILIP) Peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Tudor House Personal Care Home in Selkirk, MB, Mary Zapototsky, aged 84 years of Libau MB, passed away. Mary was born in Libau, MB on July 17, 1933 to the late Michael and Polly Filip (nee Kozyniak). It was in Libau, MB that she was raised and lived her whole life, first on the homestead farm. On January 19,1952 she married Peter Zapototsky. Together with Peter, Mary was involved in mixed farming throughout her life up to 2002 and took pride in raising their children. Mary also worked part time outside the farm for Rose Marie Catering of Selkirk during the 1960s up to 1972. From 1988 to 2002, Mary worked with Manitoba Home Care taking care of people in need at their homes. She enjoyed company and playing cards. Some of her favourite pastimes were gardening, canning, preserving, cooking and crocheting. She leaves to mourn her children, Gilbert, Norman (Janis) and Randy; grandchildren, Christopher and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Kaliesta and Haven. She was predeceased by her brother John in 1931, father Michael in 1981, mother Polly in 2000, husband Peter in 2003 and daughter Shelley in 2010. Pallbearers will be Christopher and Michael Zapototsky, Carl and Harry Milkowski, Jeff Fedak and Rodney Differ. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. Thank you to her family doctor, Dr. Van Rensburg, and the Tudor House Personal Care Home for all their care shown to Mary. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. also in the Chapel. Lunch will be held after the funeral services at the Gilbart Funeral Home Reception Center. After lunch, interment will follow in the Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main St., West Saint Paul, MB. Rev. Fr.
