THÉRÈSE MARIE RICHARD (née ROUIRE) December 13, 1928 - August 15, 2017 After 34 years, our super mom Thérèse Richard, is rejoining the love of her life, our super dad, Arthur who passed away on Christmas Day, 1983. Mom passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital. Mom is survived by her seven children, Gerry (Chita), Aurel (Chantalle), Gilles, Roland (Anita), Louis (Lynda), Yolande (Ron) and Ronald (Adele); 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Lucien (Alexine) and her dear baby sister Annette Robidoux. Mom was predeceased by her husband Arthur; sisters Angèle, Agnès, Solange and Lucie; brothers Adrien and André. Mom spent her early years in Haywood and in the early 1950s moved to Fannystelle. Initially she stayed at home to raise her children. Imagine five boys to start off in a six year span! Then finally a girl! Yahoo! And then surprise, another boy! Once the family grew up Mom joined Dad on the job front enjoying their commutes to Winnipeg on a daily basis. It was their special time to talk about their family and their dreams for the future. When Dad passed away Mom moved to Winnipeg and lived on Grant Avenue to this day. Over the years she made so many good friends there. We are forever grateful and thankful to you Mom for raising such a close-knit family, for your generosity, for your constant support and for your never ending love. You were a wonderful mother and an amazing woman. We love you very much. "Mom say hi to Dad from all of us." A celebration of her life was held at a private ceremony with Msgr. Maurice Comeault officiating. A prayer said in her memory by all those who knew her would be appreciated. The family expresses our special thanks to all who have visited her over the years. Another special thanks to Home Care for the support they provided enabling Mom to stay at her home; to the paramedics and the staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion during her final journey.
