NAVAL H. TATA With much sadness we announce the sudden passing of Naval, who, after a brief illness, passed away at the Grace General Hospital on August 14, 2017 with friends and family at his side. Naval deeply loved his wife Judy, his sons, Homiyar and Jim (Carolyn), and especially his grandchildren, Kyle, Erika and Ian. A private service will be held at Chapel Lawn. Naval was born in Bombay on January 4, 1943 to Hormusji (Homi) and (Makoo) Tata. Naval left home in 1960 to study abroad. He settled first in Germany and after several years and the birth of his first son Homiyar moved to Norway with his wife Karen Marie, prior to the birth of their son Jim. The family immigrated to Canada in 1976 and settled in Winnipeg. Karen Marie passed away shortly after arriving in Canada, and Naval remained with his sons. Naval met Judith Blackmon in 1978 and shared a wonderful life together with many years of happiness. Though his health had been declining in the last few months, his love, humour and generosity seemed to grow even greater. It's difficult to find words to describe Dad, they all seem to fall short. I can only share that our hearts are broken, as we absorb this loss. We love you Dad.
