ERNA SCHEUER (nee KOPESCHNY) April 27, 1938 August 16, 2017 Peacefully, after a stroke, Erna went to be with her Lord and Saviour at the age of 79 years. Erna leaves to mourn her passing her husband Ed Scheuer, her children Robert (Janelle) Scheuer, Jared and Kiara; James (Wendy) Scheuer, Christina (Claudio) Tonella, Mikayla and Jacob; her siblings Willy Kopeschny, Ferdinand (Lorraine) Kopeschny, Alvin (Eileen) Kopeschny, Elsa Connell, Annalora (Phil) Horch, Eddie Kopeschny; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Erna was born April 27, 1938, in Kronstal, Osterwick, Russia, left Russia in 1943, was homeless travelling through Poland, Germany, Austria, Yugoslavia, East Germany, West Germany and finally, in 1949, to the best country in the world, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Erna received her education here, married Ed Scheuer, started a family of two sons and one daughter, worked for many years for Motor Coach Industries, and the Department of National Defence and lived a wonderfully happy life here. Mother loved her children and daily prayed for their salvation. Her greatest prayer is that we all will always be together with the Lord; "there will be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear, no more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there; And forever I will be with the One who died for me, What a glorious day that will be". Erna sent up constant and daily prayers of thanks to the Lord for such a good and fulfilling life. The family would like to thank the Grace Hospital, 3rd Floor health care aides and nurses for their care and compassion. "Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
