ANNA MOEN June 4, 1933 - August 17, 2017 On Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Oakview Place, Winnipeg, MB, Anna Mary Moen, aged 84, her tasks completed here, left this world for a better place. She was predeceased by her father and mother Harold and Helen. Anna spent her life helping others and in so doing, generated many friendships. With her passing, Anna leaves her brother Leon, his wife Janet and their children Valerie and Kevin, her good friend Cathy, cousins and lifetime friends. She will be missed by all. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff at Oakview Place Personal Care Home. I met Anna at Oakview when I would go visit another friend that used to be my neighbour. She was in her wheelchair, sitting in the hallway, waiting for the staff to take her to the dining room for lunch. We starting chatting & became friends, I gave her my number & she gave me hers, but I didn't like to bother her, so I never called her. When I would go to visit my other friend, I would visit with Anna for a while, then I would go & visit my other friend, then before I left, I would pop in & say goodbye, see you next time. I know she's looking down on her family & friends. I'm going to miss seeing her there. I only found out today that Anna had passed away, my heart sank when I heard that she had passed away.
