CELINE ROLANDE COSSETTE (nee LANGELIER) December 19, 1933 - August 16, 2017 Celine Aline Rolande Cossette's story began on December 19, 1933, born the first of nine children to Jean and Simone Langelier of Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. Celine's first job was working as a Nurse's Aide at the St. Joseph's Hospital of Gravelbourg. Mom met the love of her life, Maurice Cossette. They were married in 1955 in her hometown, where they soon began their family in 1956 with their first daughter Joanne (deceased), who would later in life marry Peter. One year later, they settled in Winnipeg and had four more children: Edouard (deceased), Yolande (Bob), Donald (Kim) and Nicole (Doug). Mom also dedicated 23 years at Great West Life in housekeeping. Celine took much pride in her grandchildren: Derek, Curtis (Caitlyn), Dustin and Tessa (David); and her great-grandchildren, Hunter and Cole. Mom's greatest joy was showing her love through her passion of sewing, crocheting, and knitting those cherished Baby Sets. Celine was a devoted wife for 63 wonderful years, dedicated mother, and unforgettable Memere. Rest In Peace Mom. We would like to express our gratitude to Celine's siblings for the unending support we have received over the years; a very special thank you to Rita Tan; and finally we would like to thank the Emergency and 6E staff at St. Boniface Hospital. • HAPPY TO MEET, SORRY TO PART, HAPPY TO MEET AGAIN. Thank you for the good times we enjoyed at Home away from Home the Casino. Our prayers are with the family at this time. Morris if we can help in any way you know how to reach us. - Posted by: Terry & Adele Kolisnyk (Keno playing friend) on: Aug 25, 2017

  • To all of Auntie Celine's family . . .my heartfelt sympathy. She was an beautiful lady. So generous with her talents. My children all went out in a sweater set made by Auntie Celine. Last year, I laid my granddaughter down on a quilt made for my daughter by Auntie. That quilt was over 30 years old, and the quality of the craftsmanship kept it like new. What a wonderful legacy . . . the best kind of sleep, beneath heaven above, is under a quilt, handmade with love. Hugs to everyone, Suzanne Waiting (nee Langelier) - Posted by: Suzanne Waiting (niece) on: Aug 24, 2017

  • It was an honour and great pleasure to know both Celine and Maurice. We were aware of her failing health and thank God that she passed peacefully with family at her side. After a well lived life with us, she is now at peace with God and family. Our sincere condolences to the Cossette family for the loss. Take heart in the memories of a dear, dear soul. - Posted by: Ivan & Marlene Hall (Brother's mother-in-law) on: Aug 24, 2017
