Penner of Niverville, MB, formerly of Brandon, MB, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather of Esther (Art) Heier, George Penner, Peter (Alvina) Penner, passed away at St. Pierre Jolys Hospital on August 20, 2017, after a short illness, at the age of 88 years. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2017, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. Viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment to follow. Donations in memory of Jake can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1Z6. My deepest condolences to my cousins Esther, George and Peter and their respective families upon the passing of their father. I hold many fond memories of my Uncle Jake from our visits and family gatherings when we were youngsters. I hope the many cherished memories of your dad provide some comfort during this difficult time. So tough to lose a parent but I know he is in a better place surrounded by family, friends and love ones.
