GILLES (GIL) MORIN June 5, 1944 - September 1, 2017 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gil, our dear dad and grandpa, after a brief struggle with cancer, at the age of 73 years. He passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, with family by his side. Gil is lovingly remembered by his daughter Cathy (James); son Michael; grandchildren Breanne (Braden) and Travis; brothers Guy (Lynne), Norman and Richard (Juliette); sister Jeanette; sister-in-law Lucette; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Jean and Cecile Morin, and brothers Etienne and Claude. Gil was born and raised in St. Boniface and eventually settled in St. Vital after retirement. Dad had a kind, gentle nature and was a patient man who took pride in all that he did. He was proud being a part of Beginning Experience and a student of Enneagram, always eager to grow and learn. He was willing to help others and his advice was appreciated by many. His unique sense of humour brought a smile to our faces and we will miss him so much. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Parish in Winnipeg on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will occur at a later date. Special thanks to the wonderful care provided by the teams of 4AS-Urology, ICMS unit and ACCU at the St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Desjardins 204-233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca

So sorry to hear of Gils passing. A kind and gentle man is what my memory of Gils is. I am a friend from Beginning Experience who had a the honor of knowing your dad. He was kind, thoughtful, humble and just a great human being. I spent many times talking with him and mostly listening to his sweet kind words. His dedication to helping other through their journey sharing his own life stories to help so many accept and move on from their own. That gentle red headed man with the great hugs will remain in my heart forever. You are free now Gils. - Posted by: Rosemarie Fraser (Friend) on: Sep 08, 2017

I would like to send my condolences and prayers for Gilles and his entire family. He used to be very close to Cecil, my brother (who passed in 1989). He came to visit shortly before his death. As children, we were very close. - Posted by: Carmelle Soto (Sicotte) (cousin ) on: Sep 08, 2017
