Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIO JOSEPH ALBERT PERREAULT It is with great sadness that the family of Mario Joseph Albert Perreault announces his passing on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the age of 80 years old. Mario was born March 6, 1937 to Tina (nee Bisio) and Louis Perreault. Mario was predeceased by his wife Elaine in 2013. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his children, Dawn (Doug Breckman, Danielle and Joshua), Kerry (Roger Gagne, Noah and Jeremy), Blayze (Adrienne, Rose and Louis), sister Betty (Art Kimery) and sister-in-law Sylvia Bohonos. Dad attended St. Paul's High School and was recognized as an "all around" athlete participating in football, hockey and baseball. He remained an avid sports fan. Dad graduated from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Law and was called to the Bar September 1962. He was an accomplished Lawyer. He held the position of City Solicitor for the then City of St. James and worked for what is now known as the department of Justice and Civil Litigation branch. Dad was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Married in 1963, Dad and Mom celebrated 49 years of marriage before her passing. Dad was happiest when all of his children and grandchildren were together. He always made sure that everyone felt special. His sensitive and caring nature ensured that everyone was cared for in their own unique way. We will miss you every minute of every day Dad! A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 15, at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, in Selkirk, Manitoba. I met Mario when we were 4 years old, when our families were neighbours, living on Pembina Highway. He was 4 days older than me, as my birthday is March, 1937 and we shared that. Though we did not keep in touch with one another, his sister Betty, and I have remained steadfast friends through the years and I was able to keep up to date on my special friend. I was shocked to find out of his passing just two days ago (Oct. 28) -- I don't check the obits like I should. Dear family of Mario, I extend my sorrow and prayers to you for your loss.
